The channel where Robotic;Notes was on.

So, Saturday, 1st of December, 2018.

We went to a chess tournament in a mountainous resort, Borovetz, since at that time, my sister practiced chess. At the morning in the hotel, after we got up but before we get ready for the chessy day, I decided to flip the channels on the telly, just to look around the channels. Most of them are local, but some international ones are there. Everything seems normal, until I stumbled across a medium I was familiar with. An anime. I was like "Wait, what?! That's an anime?! What channel is this?!" with a total bemusement on my face. It turned out to be on a national television. An anime, on a national TV, in this case Bulgarian National Television. It was Robotic;Notes. After the morning chess tournament, during winter outdoors time, where there was a lot of snow, I texted my friend "Anime On BNT". He replied with a confused expression "That's impossible! How come 'anime on BNT'? That's like putting an old Bulgarian film on TV Tokyo!". The whole day I thought about this unorthodox decision staff at BNT decided to licence. Perhaps they wanted to experiment, or maybe wanted some versatility.

This kind of variety pretty much surprised me. Usually on BNT, you see old Bulgarian films, news, information about the Bulgarian culture and even the European one and at times East Asian here and there and obscure family-friendly shows at weekend's children's programme mornings. Robotic;Notes is rated PG-13, yet was placed on children's block on BNT1 and BNT2, with a fittingly Bulgarian dub, even reserving some of the Japanese suffixes (Aki-chan). It was helped by the Embassy Of Japan and the anime's creators to licence the dub.

As of writing, the anime is not on air on BNT any longer, but you can admire the staff there for taking a very bold approach to adding some variety and experiment. And that's what I like about avant-garde decisions, they're interesting and experimental and I love thinking out-of-the-box. So, all in all, Robotic;Notes on the national telly wasn't a bad choice at all, just a very unconventional one.

It would perhaps be K-On On NBC, if speaking of an American analogue to the Robotics;Notes one.

I agree

Or the British analouge would be for example: Love Live! on BBC.

As for German analouge, maybe Naruto on ARD or ZDF.
