The owl house is amazing not only for it's writing and character design, but it's amazing animation that is somehow made within such a short time

Hero Ishiki and his wife, Caroline, along with his daughter, Lylia, are spending time together at home. It seems like a normal family. Suddenly, a bullet comes in through the window, killing Hero, before a hail of bullets kill Lylia and Caroline. 3 figures walk into the house, also revealing to be Hero, Lylia and Caroline. Lylia goes "dad, I don't think these were secretly mimics." Hero goes. "Nah, I think they are, they'll turn back any moment." They wait for a second before Hero shakes his head and disposes of the corpses. They sit down, and talk about what happened, what they need to do to get home. Hero looks around the house, building some device that shoots out a portal from the technology they have. They go through it, and find themselves in a government facility in another reality. All of the guards promptly shoot Hero, who rubs the bullets off his body and responds with. "What the f**k guys?" Hero, Lylia, and Caroline then kill them all in a very gorey fight. He then uses their technology to make an even better portal. Seeing a large, glowing orb placed in a very secure box labeled as 'dangerous', he grabs it, tosses it in the air, and slaps it into the machine. He goes "This probably won't do anything wrong." And he opens a portal that is very unstable, sucking them in. They see a glimpse of the future, of destruction and chaos. They arrive at their house, and go inside. "Huh, well, now we're home, might as well get sleep-" He then hears explosions, sirens, and a passerby going "WHY IS THERE A TENTACLE MONSTER FLYING FROM THE SKY?! IT LOOKS TERRIFYING AND SEXY AT THE SAME TIME" They go outside to find a giant portal with monsters flying out of it. Hero sighs, and they walk back inside. "Not today.'
