Day 2 of reposting this until I get a decent roleplay

Rules: in the prequel roleplay, your oc must be 12-17, while in the main rp they must be 18 and up
They can have minimal powers but they can’t be too game changing in a fight
Please don’t f**king power play, your oc will probably get beat up (especially on the prequel) so don’t just “dodge” every single time, and they should have a disadvantage to people older and stronger then them
Trigger warnings: don’t be a pussy and your fine (I don’t like doing these because I can’t always predict what dialogue might pop up, and some actions)
There will be no romance options available

Background information before the prompts:
This rp will take place on the island of Ashya, a island that is off the west coast of South America and Mexico, it’s one decently sized island with a cluster of smaller land masses around it, it’s been in political unrest for a while, in the prequel rp there is currently a revolution/political takeover going on, where a arms dealer that takes home to the island is trying to take it over (and succeeding) and the regular rp will take years afterwards where the arms dealer had taken over for a while and still is in control, while mostly a tropical climate, with wonderful beaches, there is also a smallish mountain range on the north end of the island that is really f**king cold, there are multiple cities on both the main island, and the smaller land masses, and more people live in these cities then in suburban neighborhoods, these cities are typically poor with some residents barely scraping by.
In this country both Spanish and English are common, in the prequel prompt you should probably make it so your oc knows Spanish, but they don’t have to know it in the main rp

The prequel prompt: your oc has grown up on the main island of Ashya, in one of the smaller cities, your family has enough money to get by somewhat comfortably, but not enough to be able to afford to go anywhere else when the political takeover began, at first you were not in danger, since the arms dealers army only attacked the smaller clusters of islands around the main one to begin, but once they moved to the main island, they instantly began to head to your city, and this morning you woke up to your father frantically shaking you awake, telling you to get up and get dressed, along with getting another pair of clothes

Main prompt: Your oc has grown up in America, living a comfortable, normal life, either going through college at the moment, or went through it and achieved a career, but a year ago, in June, your parents passed away in a car accident, it’s currently June right now, and schools out, your sitting in your apartment one day, when you get a text from someone you haven’t talked to in a long time, Javier, an adoptive son of a old family friend (he may or may not be older then you, Javier is 28) the last you heard of him is he went to join some government agency that had to do with security and foreign affairs, this text is asking you if you would be interested in joining him on a trip to his home, the island Ashya, this summer, how do your respond?

*Alright well I’m going to skip to the next morning, where at nine thirty a compact white car pulls up infront of you house, Javier steps out, wearing a unbuttoned, tacky Hawaiian shirt with a white t shirt underneath, jeans, and the sunglasses*

“ Ah Javier no time long see “ - he walks out carrying a sports bag wearing a singlet and shorts -

Javier: Indeed, don’t worry you’ll be seeing me plenty, I’ll take your bag and put it in the trunk
