a message to hollywood (if you even bothered to read this i respect you for it)

IT’S NOT THAT CONSERVATIVES ARE ANNOYED BY “DIVERSITY” IN TV NOW; IT’S THAT WE DON’T LIKE:; - “diversity hires” (people being hired solely for their race and not their skill); - people taking European stories and making them about different cultures (seriously if you want blacks and asians on TV then make up new stories with African or Asian folklore, just stop taking classics from the Disney renaissance and trying to “improve” them for “modern audiences”, it almost never lives up; - people assuming we’re racist for having opinions without really digging to find the true motivation behind our opinions; - the Twitter left claiming we’re racist for pointing out ariel isn’t black in the originals when the Twitter left themselves had a fuss over Naomi Scott being cast as Jasmine bc she was biracial and thus “too white” to play Jasmine. Either stick to your stance of characters should stay the same race or it should be changeable, or admit you have no standards at all. - all your messages in Hollywood. You claim to not like preaching but you constantly do it to us and the world. You’ve ruined entertainment for people who want to get out of living a verbal war every second of every day. I remember when parents thought anime was bad for their children to watch. It’s now better than most of your junk. - bad stories (prioritizing your political progressivism has made your storytelling fall into the dumps. Even Marvel, who I hold in high regard for storytelling genius, has had quite a few absolute flops this year [though moon knight and spider man NWH were awesome]); - your ideas of “empowerment” for minorities. Your philosophy of “when the weak get strong, all is right” is literally a philosophy that would make great villains, yet you, the deciders of right and wrong in your stories, have this philosophy. This is why many conservatives cannot stand your female characters or your POC, because they’re unbearable. (Exception: the MCU’s Falcon is NOT unbearable, but he also was written on TV b4 all this BLM junk took off.); - your constant digs at the conservative party. This has been going on for a while.
