My family did not buy it.
In the 1950’s my great-grandfather bought the land, about 100 feet, for a good price back then.
It took him about 2 years to build, all by hand. My grandfather helped him build the place as well.
When my great-grandfather died when my dad was 14 the house was passed on to my great-grandmother who lived to be 100 years old and died June 2020. My grandfather now owns the house.
The house is also 400 miles away from where I live in Pennsylvania so it’s not like I’m in Massachusetts and it’s only an hour or two away, it’s about 8 hours in a car.
