Just realized how in character and perfect I accidentally made the whole thing with Arlo “disappearing” from the book and the giant spider door thing- he loves bugs! To him, their mom saying “hey hun DONT TOUCH THIS BOOK it’s spooky- ok?”
Arlo would just think “spiders aren’t scary! Mom hates spiders- and thinks they are spooky but I don’t!”
AND HE WOULD THINK ITS BECAUSE OF HER FEAR OF SPIDERS AND NOT THE FACT THAT ITS TIED TO “THE WEB”-; IF I HAD A NICKEL FOR EVERY TIME SUKI DIDN’T ELABORATE ON SOMETHING AND IT RESULTED WITH ARLO GETTING ABDUCTED I’D HAVE TWO NICKELS WHICH ISN’T A LOT BUT IT’S WEIRD THAT IT HAPPENED TWICE RIGHT?
