Basically how I imagine he became the Avatar of The Flesh is (written like a Magnus Archives statement) hello. I am Caedes Evergreen. I heard that- this institute deals with- weird shit? So- I came here from some recommendations. For some background I went to collage for writing at- well- here in London actually. and when I finished collage I went back to my hometown- and country- I’m from Australia- I don’t think that’s important but I was told to give details so here you go. Details. but no writing-related jobs were around the small town, and no other companies were hiring besides a butcher shop. I- hated meat and blood and cutting things. You could say it was maybe even my worst fear. But i needed money and couldn’t go back to my collage city because i was broke at this point from the trip back. I decided to go see what qualifications you needed to work there and went inside, it was surprisingly open. The only place open at this time of night. There was a neon sign flickering off then on again sometimes. It read “Alice Springs Butcher” in red block letters. The front door’s bell rang and a tall, strong looking man in a red splattered apron, black t-shirt and jeans with buzzed black hair wiped off his hands with a red covered rag. I introduced myself as Caedes and I was being very cautious and not shaking his hand but doing an awkward fist bump instead with the man who was said to be Jayson. Then we started to talk about how to get a job there and Jayson said as he was cutting up- something- blood sprayed onto his apron from behind the counter and I won’t lie- I flinched and almost vomited. The worker didn’t seem to notice and said not much needed to be known to work there. I swore that you needed to know things like what parts of animals are what and how to cut them but Jayson said “not here! You just cut it up and toss it into a bin”. He picked up a big plastic- storage container looking rectangular bin. It was a tinted blue see through bin with a opaque blue lid next to it and it was- f i l l e d to the brim with gross and bloody chunks of raw meat. If I was going to vomit from the blood I would have definitely done it now if I didn’t look away from it as Jayson laughed and say it down again. I really did not want to work there around meat daily. But what really sold the job to me was Jayson saying I would have a place to stay while saving to get my own place. He said it wasn’t much but it was a roof and a bed so I took the job and his offer. (Pt1)
