Need advice

Ok so my gf’s friend, let’s call him David, doesn’t like me. I knew this, I didn’t know why, but I had my suspicions. Anyway, my other friend, least call Sally, walked up to me and is like, “hay Kylo, David was complaining about u, he seemed really pissed. He was talking about how u r a horrible person and that u r making ur gf sad and he doesn’t like u”
And so I’m like, I kinda guessed that he didn’t like me bc, backstory time, I stared dating his friend who is a cymbal player, David is also a cymbal player. Well when I stated dating my gf, David was dating another cymbal player, Jill. Anyway, Jill left band, and I had helped advise her on leaving. And so now David has a broken section, his gf, and the strongest player has left, his other friend is dating a baritone (me) and his other section mate is a freshman. To top it all off Jill broke up with David a week later, bc cheating or something like that

So yeah

My dilemma is that my gf looks up to David, and like last time I told her about him like doing bad shit, she kinda had a mental breakdown, and I don’t wanna put her through that again

But I also don’t know if I should keep this from her

Should I just stay quiet and let it blow over, idk

Y’all got any good advise?

I'd say to stay quiet and hope it blows over.
As I've said before "Marching band is just one great big family with a f**kton of incest".

Tbh i don’t have any good advice for this. Maybe just try to talk to him or just try to be like nice to him or do something to make peace with him
