In my opinion, not all old movies are better than new movies
and not all new movies are better than old movies

it's literally just a movie, no matter how old, how outdated, how young or how correct, we watch it.

except for movies made by adam sandler, they're literally dogshit

But yes, Hollywood is definitively pushing quantity over quality these days. Everything needs to be a sequel, reboot, or remake of an older movie. That’s not to say they’re all bad (Top Gun Maverick, Ghostbusters Afterlife, Mission: Impossible - Fallout), but Hollywood was at its best when it chose to experiment and create new stories of their own.
