This mushroom is called Old Man Of The Woods. It is edible but should always be cooked before eating (This goes for every edible mushroom you find in the wild). I have heard that Old Man Of The Woods is not very tasty but that might not be true. The scientific name for it is Strobilomyces strobilaceus. It is classified as a Bolete along with Yellow Bolete, Penny Bun, Bay Bolete, Slippery Jack and more.
