????: *walks away, locking the door behind her*

*several other dragons are scattered through prison cells, all adults*

????: "Ignore those foolish non-believers." *leads them to a large cavern with a few dragonets running around*

???: *dodges and grabs her by the horns, slamming her into the ground*

*She lunges at the dragon, ready to fight*

Half Moon: "So glad you asked!" *pulls a scroll out of thin air* "Let's see...One, causing the splitting of the three tribes into the tribes you know today. Two, bringing the creation of the curse of animus magic. Three, teaching an old friend and king, Wildfire, to actually curse. Four, the resurrection of a dragon named Moonsilver...Actually, that resurrection...Is with us now."

Half Moon: "Anyway, using the curse of animus magic to do all sorts of things, possessing a couple of dragons here and there...And probably others that I forgot to write down..."

"Ah. That moonsilver. I think I know who you mean, haha. And, animus was definitely not created by you. I've encountered the old gods, and they are far more powerful than you. Power beyond comprehension."

???: "Of course..." *sighs*

"You gonna explain it to me or nah?"

???: "Oh. Of course. When the moon is high, the dragons in this cult will gather at the top of this mountain. A chosen dragon, either a heretic prisoner or a false follower, stands in the middle. Kori says the typical sermon, then I bring the end of another life."

"Alright."

???: *sighs* "You know nothing of sacrifice, do you?"

???: "Hmm..." *examines her* "Eh, it'll do."

"IT!? I AM ALIVE, I HAVE FEELINGS! YOU CAN'T CALL ME AN "IT"!"

*She spits venom at the dragon*

*She seems to be teleporting in a circle around the dragon*

"So tell me. Who are you exactly?"

Kori: *grabs some fruits and sets them next to Skyfall before scribbling in the dirt: If you do change your mind, find me at the Diamond Spray Delta*

*Skyfall wakes up an hour later. She reads the message, but she'll wait a few minutes before she goes there. She's hungry anyway, so she eats the fruit*

"We should go get drinks or something, one day, eh?"

Kori: "Then do so. I'll gladly die under the light of the moon and Half Moon's wings."

*The rocks floating around Skyfall suddenly change, into sharp, dagger-like shapes*

Half Moon: "So...Yeah..."

*Skyfall nods*

Kori: "As always."

"Indeed"

Half Moon: "Yep!"

"I see."

???: "Shi, executioner for Kori and guardian of the bloodstones."

"Alright. And where's this Half-moon I keep hearing about?"

Shi: *sighs* "I knew it'd come to this...Ripple, forgive me..."

*Shi waits for the cold and darkness of death to come, but it never does. Instead, they feel a odd chill in the air, as if something unnatural is happening around them*

*Kori wakes up*

???: "Ok." *snaps her neck*

*Nothing happens. No snap. No nothing. It's like the dragon didn't even touch her. At this moment, all the dragons surrounding them collapse to the ground, unconscious. Skyfall says nothing. She just grins*

*The entire cult, which is made of hundreds of dragons it seems, has gathered at the top of the mountain. Kori steps forward, the stone around her neck glowing*
Kori: *leaps into the air and hovers* "Tonight, under the light of the moon, we shall offer another heretic life to the deity Half Moon. This heretic, Skyfall, was offered a place under the rule of Half Moon, and openly refused. Tonight we come to a step closer to cleansing the world of dragons like these."
*the crowd cheers*
???: *steps forward*

"Just get this over with."

Kori: *takes off*

*Kori suddenly falls to the ground. Her wings refuse to work*

Kori: "Ha. You can try."

"Sleep with one eye open."

???: *sighs and ducks* "Listen, I'm not exactly excited about it either."

"Just kill me."

Kori: *jumps to her talons, the red stone glowing even brighter."

*The rocks fly at Kori, and she's suddenly pinned to the ground*

*Before Shi even realizes what's happening, they've been pinned to the ground and Skyfall's claws are on their throat*

Kori: *climbs into a tree, looking for around*

*It seems as though 300 years have indeed passed*

???: "What the- *backs away*

"I told you. But you didn't listen. Nobody ever does."

*Shi is suddenly unable to breathe, their lungs filling with blood, and a bleeding hole in their throat*

Half Moon: "Well, Skyfall. I'll have you know I've basically climbed to the status of a deity. Just as a child. Just imagine what I can do once I have my physical form back."

"Imagine not having a body. What a loser."

Kori: *casually slaps Skyfall's claw* "Anything you want?"

???: *growls* "Demon..."

Kori: "Well, see you then. I'm going to go figure out what happened."

*Shi blacks out*

???: *grabs her horns, about to snap her neck*

*Skyfall looks at the dragon. She seems to be... grinning?*

*Skyfall walks away, looking for a comfortable spot to take a nap*

Half Moon: "I didn't "create" animus magic. I was an animus myself. I just made the curse that follows it now."

"Yeah yeah whatever."

Kori: "Oh yeah I kidnapped her and then tried to have Shi kill her."
Half Moon: "That's it?"

"And as you can see, it didn't go exactly to plan, now did it, Kori?"

Kori: "W-What...It worked! Half Moon accepted our-Hmmmm...."

*It's like they've been gone for 300 years. But that's not possible, right?*

Kori: *stands up* "?"

*In the distance, it looks like Pyrrhia is disappearing*

Kori: "Oh no...DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU'VE DONE?"

*It's just the mountain left now. Some of the dragons around them start to disappear*

Half Moon: "What do you want this time?"

"I challenge you to a duel. To see who is stronger. No magic allowed."

Half Moon: "Is that it? Or you got more to say?"

"I choose not to."

Kori: *panic attack* "They're mad...I've angered the deity! They're going to destroy us all!"

"ORATARIAN PLEASE, I BEG YOU TO SPARE ME"

Half Moon: "Technically not possible. I don't have a physical form, so I'm basically a ghost."

"Loser."

Kori: "No, no, no! I can stop this...Half Moon will listen! Right?"

*It's just them now, but they're fading now too*

Kori: *grabs the stone* "Half Moon, we beg for mercy! I-I can do better! I swear!"

*Everything fades away*

Kori: "..."

*After who knows how long, the world returns. But it seems different somehow*

Kori: *growls* "Why are you asking me?"

"I don't know."

*Some of the large rocks around them start glowing, and then suddenly disappear*

"Woah. What the hell?"

Half Moon: "Ooookkkaaayyy then. Bye." *poofs out of existence back into the mindscapes*

*Half moon is dragged out of the mindscapes*

Half Moon: "Anyway...I was summoned here for a reason, I hope"

"Oh, I'm sure Kori here will be more than glad to explain."

Half Moon: "I should be out soon, though. So...Reschedule?"

"Yeah sure whatever."

???: *sighs and waits*

*Eventually, Skyfall stops struggling*

???: "Finally... Anyway, I'm sure you're wondering why you're here."

*She nods*

???: "I'm collecting dragons so they can atone for their faults and join under the wings of Half Moon, a dragon with unimaginable power."

*She tries to remove her restraints and fails*

Kori: *ducks and pins Skyfall by her throat*

"You wouldn't kill me. You couldn't."

Kori: "You have no idea what I'm willing to do to dragons..."

"Try me."
