girl who has auditory hallucinations and is antisocial is forced to go on a field trip with people and they go in a haunted house. when the tour guide leaves due to an “emergency” they see a phantom and discover that every night, at midnight, they end up in a shadow realm. time doesn’t pass in their dimension during this time, but once 7 hours has passed in the shadow world they get to go back. if they get injured they can feel but not see it irl. they always come back where they left off with the phantoms, unless they’ve broken the distance limit
