Exactly. They need a reason to sell the console, not just the games themselves.

Think of the Nintendo Switch. It’s a game console that can be used at home for parties or families, and it can also be taken on the go. It’s cheap, it’s a convenient way to take your gaming space with you.

Or think of Xbox Game Pass and Cloud Gaming. You can play a huge library of games for $10-15 a month. Even the series S doesn’t have a disc drive and focuses mainly on digital sales and subscription services.

I don’t hate PlayStation. I was just giving a hot take. I want PS to succeed, but they need to find a way to do it other than just “we have exclusive games.”
