Happened to me, I'm at one of the most (if not the most) hardest highschools of my entire city (it has 200k citizens so it has many highschools) and the classes are super hard I might be smart but I'm not a genius, I have to take notes of every class I have, at least my teachers are nice and put all in the blackboard but still I end up with 2 full pages of writing after a history class I think that on U.S schools teach a lot of history but I have a ton of PDFs from my history teacher in English, also do like me I usually draw something on the pages to not to make it boring I usually draw little squids between lines, Marie or even a fictional country I also could send you a ton of maths stuff if you need, the math things are extremely useful and I really recommend them
