It is "lynn-ucks" - Linus Torvalds himself says it that way, like his name which is pronounced "lynn-iss," not "lie-nuss" like the Peanuts character. The video is around 20 years old now, you call likely still Google around and find it. If it is good enough for him, it is good enough for everyone else.

"Lin-ucks" is fine, too. I always tend to make it rhyme with Unix for some reason.
