Well i can just give you the bare bones gist of it as it is a complicated topic. Basically Mojang has added an official report feature to the game and basically it can result in people getting permanently banned from the multiplayer part of the game including lan games, and are censoring chat in Bedrock edition. The entire community is bashlashing Mojang and Microsoft on this and boycotting the game because of it, mainly because the system is too exploitative as many griefers may use it to troll maliciously.

this is also coming off the heels of the vrchat backlash that happen a few days earlier were basically the devs of that game added EAC to that game and basically killed the modding scene giving permanent bans to people who tried playing with mods, not just malicious ones, but accessibility mods made for dissabilities.

As of right now the industry is out of its mind.
