The biggest problem I see with translunar travel or interplanetary travel is the energy requirement to escape earth’s gravity. The first stage of the Saturn V used 190,000 gallons of RP-1 rocket fuel and 318,000 gallons of liquid oxygen just to reach low earth orbit; the first 2 minutes and 30 seconds of the trip to the moon for the Apollo space missions… If they happened at all, jk on that last statement ;)
