After seeing the camera footage of the Texas school shooting, where the police retreated after not doing their jobs, I believe some things need to change. Defending the police isn't a good solution. I propose a change to the process of buying guns. You must undergo mental health checks under people who specialize in detecting mental illnesses every THREE months in order to prevent thode who have mental illnesses to buy a gun and then possibly go shoot up a school. The fact that the police retreated and didn't do their job of stopping the shooter, when it was their job to do so, is a bad look on police officers as a whole.
