No way, a lore upload

For three earth years this war raged on. Stardust was now four earth years old according to Sky. She’s never been to this human’s home planet, but according to him, she wouldn’t like it anyway. That didn’t matter though, what did matter is that them and the rest of the galaxy was at war with these machines. Sentinels wanted her and Sky dead, or at least that was what they assumed.

As usual, Sky ordered Stardust to stay on the Horizon, their largest and most prized starship. Stardust, as usual, did not follow orders. Sky wasn’t even sure why he tried anymore. She regularly outmaneuvered him in combat practice now. Not to mention, she had the fastest sub pulse jump speed. She was faster than the rest of their fighters. Her skill was unmatched as far as he could tell. There was that one time where she managed to destroy over half of the sentinel star fighters in battle and a destroyer before returning to the Horizon. He had nothing to worry about.

Stardust was blasting her way through another cruiser, this was the third one she had destroyed in this battle alone. She never really liked battle, but could never escape the rush if satisfaction after another sentinel warship was taken down. She didn’t really have a choice but to fight despite her orders. Sky was always worried about her, no matter where she was. He never would admit to that, but she knew in her mind that he was. She wanted nothing more than to protect him and the rest of their squadron and their armies. After all, it was her fault they were in this mess. Now she went right for the kill. Nothing stood between her and the capital ship. She flew towards it as fast as she could, she crossed the gap in almost 5 seconds despite how far the ships were apart. The hull was too tough for her to rip apart from the outside, she’d have to infiltrate the ship or use her abilities. Sky didn’t really want her to use her abilities anyway considering what happened that one accident where his starfighter jumped to light speed on accident because of her, and she wasn’t sure if they would work anyway.

Sneaking into the ship was simple, no one was guarding anything, not even the sentinels that patrolled the halls were there. It was too easy, she was suspicious of that, she was now extra careful. Regardless, she continued. She found the reactor core and planted some of the special bombs that degrade metal. She had to remember to be careful since these also destroy biological substances and took care of the radiation. Suddenly she felt the electro-magnetic frequency of whatever was behind her. She tried to turn around but was knocked out before she could do anything.

Stardust woke up in a cell, her head hurt a lot… she knew she had to have been hit pretty hard. Her eyesight was also a little blurry for the first seconds. The first thing she noticed was her scales were completely white, not their typical light blue she liked. Next she noticed that the sentinels must want her for something, instead of just wanting her dead. She would have been killed immediately if that was the case.

“Awake so soon?”

The robotic voice… must have been from a sentinel. She looked up towards the shield that kept her in the cell, this sentinel wasn’t like anything she’s seen before. It’s metal plates were shining in the light, there were four legs, each complete with claws able to grip weapons like hers. It had a tail, looks like it was there for more than just looks. It’s wings bones were made of metal, shields filled the gaps for flying. Then she noticed the face, Glowing red eyes. A reinforced metal snout that held a cannon of some sort. She was staring at a robotic dragon.

“Come to mock me for my stupid decision before you execute me?”

“No… we were never going to execute you, it seems that you took our offer as a threat.”

“Why do you want me so badly then?”

“That’s not for me to tell, you will know once you are in our leader’s hands.”

“Like that’s gonna happen.”

The ship shook, interrupting the conversation.

“I’ll see you once we finally crush your fleet in battle.”

The robotic dragon walked off.

Stardust had to protect Sky. She couldn’t let all of those pilots die. She wouldn’t let any more lives be taken this battle. Now was the time to call upon her powers. She had to protect Sky. Her scales changed once more to that beautiful star landscape, and she lost control. Next thing she knew, she had opened up a large black whole in the middle of the capital ship, it sucked the whole ship into it, with her in it.

Sky couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

“All fighters cease fire and return to the Horizon! Now!”

They were lucky nothing else got caught in it’s pull. Aanvi was contacting him. He opened communications while flying as fast as he could.

“What the hell did Stardust just do?”

“I don’t know, all I know is her last known location was on that ship! What is that Avalanche?”

“… scanners indicate a wormhole opened up on the battlefield. Had to have been Stardust. Also, the remaining sentinel ships are contacting us. All across the region it seems.”

“What are they saying?!”

“They say… please accept our thanks.. you have freed us..?”

“What?”

“Hm…”
