*The soldier turns the weapon to you, but he doesn’t get a chance to fire it, the mechanical dragon crashes on top of him, now inoperable

Terra: [with how advanced their weaponry is, I doubt—]

*something grabbed her and threw her to the forest floor. Terra screamed in pain, she tried to fight it but it grabbed her again and held her in place… it looked like a dragon, but it also appeared to be made out of metal. Two humans were running into the clearing, one in a lab coat, the other in advanced armor, the one in the lab coat started yelling at the soldier*

Translated from human (if the dragon couldn’t understand)

Galactic Labs scientist: WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? I SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED THAT WE WOULDN’T USE THESE.

Galactic Labs soldier: I got clearance straight from command. They saw it as a weapons test. I think our special unit did pretty well.

GL scientist: that wasn’t the point.

Terra: *talking telepathically to all, she sounded terrified, you all understood this message* [what do you want from me?! Why are you doing this?!]

GL soldier: like hell I’d tell you Terra.

Nightmare: *splattered the mechanical dragon with his ‘magical death spit’*

*Obviously it did nothing, the mechanical dragon turned its head and Terra threw it off of her*

Human conversation translated:

GL scientist: you have to top this!

GL soldier: someone doesn’t understand what needs to be done. *he pulled out a pistol and shot the scientist, Terra watched in horror, not allowing herself to do anything about it, she froze up again, you started to feel her fear and terror, she was grabbed again by the robotic dragon and held to the ground* It doesn’t have to be this way Terra. Cooperate and I can assure you that—

*Terra once again threw the robotic dragon off her, this time towards the soldier who barely dodged in time, soldier got up and stood his ground, he waited for the dragon robot to come back*

Terra: *now speaking only to you* [my name is Terra, I don’t have time to explain everything, should we run or fight?]

Nightmare: ‘we need to fight!’

Terra: [heh, alright] *she sounded nervous, that didn’t stop her from walking the soldier with her tail. The soldier flew into a tree and would have broken his spine if it weren’t for the armor, you’ve got about thirty seconds as an opening. He also dropped some weapon meant for a human. The armor covers his whole body, not even the face is visible. The robotic dragon attacks and Terra takes to the clouds, the machine follows suit, leaving you to deal with soldier*

Terra: [I’ll be right back, I have a plan.]

Nightmare: *nods and stays camouflaged*

*The soldier got up, he got upped out some sort of long ranged weapon, he was charging it now, waiting for a good shot, he didn’t see you yet.*

Nightmare: *stays as still as possible.*

*He fires into the sky, it barely missed Terra*

GL soldier: damn it. Well I can bring this one in myself. *he turns to you, he can actually see you somehow*

Nightmare: *hisses and flies off.*

(Warning, this is not a Wings of Fire role play but Wings of Fire dragons are still allowed, this story does not happen in the Wings of Fire universe and this is in no way an attempt at discouraging you from using Wings of Fire OCs.)

*the dragon doesn’t speak at all, you could tell it was terrified. Even so it turned around and waited*

Nightmare: “h-h-hi?..”

???: *for some reason it’s not speaking normally, it’s speaking telepathically* [h-hello..]

Nightmare: “h-h-hi..”

???: … *now she starts to speak normally* I-I didn’t think I’d see another d-dragon for a while… what are you doing here? *she sounds terrified*

Nightmare: I-I-I- don’t know…”

*Terra hear’s something*

Terra: we better g-go, now. *she launches into the air*

He flew up, camouflaged into the trees.

*Terra was flying up past the trees, but flying slower than a normal dragon. something was slowing her down. She talks again telepathically*

Terra: [why do my wings feel tired? I’ve barely used them.]

‘I don’t know…. Probably a blow dart’ he thought.

O.L.E: Huh...?

*the three of you walk for a little bit, if you looked to the side, you might have seen a pair of blue eyes occasionally starring back. The same as the dragon that ran away. After a while it was gone, you then heard something, almost like a scream*

GL scientist: what the hell was that? *they break into a run*

O.L.E: *she runs after*

*the soldier follows from behind making sure there is no ambush*

*the three of you make it to a clearing, a mechanical dragon was holding the first dragon you saw earlier*

Galactic Labs (from now on known as GL) scientist: Soldier, what the hell is this?!

GL Soldier: new combat unit, I’d say it worked out well.

GL scientist: I thought I specifically requested that e wouldn’t use these!

GL soldier: someone doesn’t know what’s required to get the job done *they draw a gun and points it at the scientist*. I can easily write this off as a combat casualty. You’re not going anywhere either, entity.

O.L.E: !!!!

GL soldier: I’ve already gotten clearance for that anyway.

*the dragon broke free, realizing they were trapped they turned to face you after the mechanical dragon stood down*

GL scientist: this is nonsense. You didn’t need our robotic special unit to acquire this dragon.

*A new voice popped into all of your minds*

???: [what’s wrong with you? Why do you want me so badly?] *it came from the dragon but you saw they weren’t speaking*

GL scientist: I can’t say much, I was ordered to come along.

GL soldier: like hell I’d tell you, Terra.

O.L.E: ?

*the mechanical dragon attacked again and it occupied the small dragon that was lucky they weren’t being outright crushed*

GL scientist: stop this!

GL soldier: … *they shoot the scientist in the head with a pistol, the scientist falls to the ground dead* alright other entity, are you willing to help me?

O.L.E: Y-y-y-y-yes....

GL soldier: good then you can—

*the mechanical dragon gets thrown at the two of you, the dragon, no, Terra must have used magic. It missed you, the soldier barely dodged in time and dropped some sort of weapon you’ve never seen before, Terra jumps in front of you to deflect a laser blast from the mechanical dragon’s mouth*

Terra: *only talking to you now* [d-did those humans put you up to this?]

O.L.E: Yes...

*the dragon freezes for a second as she looks at you, then she runs*

*two humans had just broken through some bushes on the opposite side, one in a lab coat, one in full combat gear that looks way more advanced than anything you’ve seen before*

???: hm… looks like it was here. *the one in the lab coat turns to you* ah, hello, have you seen a dragon? I’m sorry to trouble one such as yourself in this matter.

O.L.E: U-uh.... N-n-n-no-o....

???: that’s fine, I was hoping you could help us look though. You might know this forest better than us.

O.L.E: Uh, I-I-I dont ....

???: oh it won’t be that bad, don’t let my friend in armor scare you. I’m hoping to capture it peacefully.

O.L.E: W-why do you need to capt-capture it...?

Galactic Labs scientist: just a little, it’s afraid of humans. If it sees you, you might calm it down. *then they whisper* I can also make sure my friend here doesn’t take you back to a Galactic Labs facility.

O.L.E: Huh.

*the soldier got up and now had some sort of rifle pointed at Terra*

GL solder: Stand down Terra!

*the weapon the soldier dropped is only a few feet away*

O.L.E: *slowly sneaks over to the weapon*

*you could feel that Terra wanted nothing more than to run away to a place where no one would find her, you felt her nervousness building up inside you, but she also couldn’t leave you to your own fate with galactic labs if you were left behind*

O.L.E: *she tries to grab the weapon*

*you grab it successfully, the weapon appeared to be high tech, but also only a melee one, Terra shivered as you grabbed it. You’re not sure how you know but it was used on her before*

GL soldier: I’ll say this one more time. Stand down Terra! Come with me.

*Terra looked at the soldier and back to the mechanical dragon, trying to decide what to do*

O.L.E: *she aims the weapon at the soldier*

*it activated, it looked like it was a multi-purpose weapon, it went into shock-mace mode, varying degrees allow you to electrocute your enemies to stun or kill them*

GL soldier: don’t move entity. *he now took his attention off Terra and pointed the rifle at you once the mechanical dragon returned*

*Terra speaks only to you*

Terra: [should we run or fight? Don’t say it out loud]
