I've said it before and I'll say it again, the downvote counter will literally kill users by making them quit with negative impact. I've been saying this more than about 5 times already. If they add the feature again, it will likely to go out of business forever and will never come back and people will rather go to Reddit. So, the developers cannot let this happen again anymore.

This isn't about a downvote counter. Rather, this is about adding a feature like the "Low-rated comment" feature, which will hide memes that were downvoted enough, unless you click on it.

Sorry, my mistake. But, if they add the downvote counter to the comments also, we'll know if it's toxic also. I was keeping my thoughts on it.

Your points also apply to low-rated memes, though. The memers will know that their meme was downvoted, and will start raging in the comments.
