Those aren’t valid reasons as to why foreigners should wait 54 years to immigrate to the US. As terrible as those events have been and how they impacted us today, they will not matter to our children and/or grandchildren in the future, except in history books ofc.

it's not jut those specific events. it's the culture that guarantees more such events daily now. i would like to not wait 54 years, but cultural shifts are rarely sudden, and positive shifts require concerted effort. so i'm saying 54 years.

don't worry, i'm not offended at all. i'm American and i'm not really saying people shouldn't immigrate. it's 'just a meme', and i'm venting my disgust at what's going on here. if people want to come because it's better than where they are, please come.
