Everyone greives the deaths of those they care about, knowingly or not. Life isn’t all about being hard and cold, grief is healthy and a natural thing to go through just like every other emotion. Suppressing emotions to try and not be a “panzy” is super bad for your mental health, and your mental health is tied to your physical health. For example, when you’re nervous and you get “butterflies in your stomach.” Mental and physical health go hand-in-hand. and grief comes in stages like denial, bargaining, anger, acceptance, etc. most humans experience this because we are naturally social animals. Companionship and interaction with others is something that we need to stay healthy.
Also, grief doesn’t make you a “panzy”, it means you cared. And being strong enough to accept and be open with your emotions makes you the opposite of a “panzy.” It means you’re in touch with your emotional health.
