there are these telephone on one wall in every room within my house

i can use it so i can call other people even if they are in another room

60s, in the 80s they used Nokia phones

As a child of the 80's, we've come along way as a society in general lol. Kids today really don't appreciate wireless phones. I don't think they would know what to do if they were tied down by a cord 🤣
