Faze used to just be a normal ass teenager. He loved making music, had a couple of close friends, and was all-around just pretty generic. His father worked in a mine. After taking Faze (who used to be just Aaron) to his work to show him all of the "really cool" machinery, there was an accident with some equipment. A backhoe was parked on a slope without the safety brake on, and ran right over the teen. The accident crippled Faze's most of Faze's body, with most damage dealt to his left arm and face. After an emergency team took him to a hospital, there were scientists who wanted to test the limits of cyber technology at the hospital and asked the father if he wanted the limits of technology on his son to make him "normal" again. The father agreed, desperately wanting to let his beloved son lead the most normal life possible (this was in Canada so the treatment of Faze was free). Faze became the demi-robot he is now. What he nor his dad knows is that he was an experiment in military technology. After the incident, he took a medium sum of money from his dad's account and ran away from home. He used this money to buy passage on a boat to an obscure island in the middle of the pacific ocean. The boat was destroyed on the island.
