Oh wait I don't breathe, I keep forgetting I don't have lungs in this body.
Daft Punk is an electronic music duo consisting of French musicians Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo.
Daft Punk is famous for hits such as "Around The World", "One More Time", and "Get Lucky".
The two were friends, and had a band together, but they ended up getting a bad review in a newspaper, the review saying their music had a "daft-punky" sound. They treated this as a joke, and soon regrouped, calling the duo Daft Punk.
Their very first album, Homework, released in 1997, contained their first two hits, "Around The World" and "Da Funk". Soon, they began attracting attention from people everywhere, and started wearing masks in public to stay anonymous.
After their next album that was released in 2001, Discovery, Daft Punk began wearing their signature robot helmets whenever they made their rare public appearances.
They went on to release another album in 2005 called Human After All, which was different than their first two albums. The party was still there, just the mood got more foreboding. More dark.
Daft Punk didn't release anything for 5 more years, until they released the soundtrack for the movie TRON: Legacy. After that, they resumed working on an album, which would be released 3 years later as Random Access Memories, which had not only the signature electronic sound, but also a sound of the 70s and 80s. The most memorable tracks were "Giorgio by Moroder", and "Get Lucky".
It is safe to say that Daft Punk changed electronic music in the best way possible.
