I don't understand- if you're a Democrat, why not? After all, you are supporting the Party that is doing its level best to force us all to buy an electric car, whether we want to or not.
Of course, the reality is this- they know that for the vast majority of people in the US, an electric vehicle is too expensive, so only the rich and elite government employees will be able to have one.
The rest of us? Take a look at history, and current the current status of many of the far less free countries in the world, where people must live in huge, scary apartment blocs, or cram themselves onto dangerous mass transit, to work at their government appointed jobs.
If you support the Democrat Party, and yet insist you get to choose whether or not to buy an electric, you are like the chicken that voted for Colonel Sanders after he campaigned on the slogan, "Spice is the variety of life."
