Actually, yes, that's almost exactly what Calvinism does. It presupposes that God works within the same laws of space, time, and possibility that we do.

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, the "Calvinism" to which you refer is altogether uncalvinistic. And yes, Meme are (nearly) always hyperbolic.

The Calvinism I'm referring to stems from the fundamental idea that man has no control over his own salvation. He is bound to belong either in the elect or reprobate, based on a divine will that is confined to only be able to work in one set of possiblities. Which leads to problems with other Scriptures such as Romans 11, II Peter 3, and the entire book of Hosea.

Neither I nor Calvin deny that man has the natural ability to choose God or to reject him, but because of man's radical fallenness he will always reject God, unless the Father who sent Christ draws him "And I will raise him up on the last day. It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me."

I completely agree. That's why Prevalent Grace is necessary.

God speaks to every man that would give ear to Him. And yet some don't; the Book of Hosea is the perfect example of God continually pursuing after people who just don't want to listen to Him. 2 Peter 3 states that God desires none should perish but that all come to Him in repentance. Romans 1 states that His Divine Nature and Eternal Power are made evident to all men throughout Creation. He draws all with His Prevalent Grace; but not all listen, and therefore do not hear. But those who ask, will be answered; those who seek, find; and those who knock will have the door opened to them.

Granted, the meme is hyperbolic, but aren't memes always hyperbolic in order to make a point?
