Plot twist: my cousin is homophobic, but still supports me for being bi. The reason is he's only homophobic when a person of the same gender flirts with him. His PO officer (don't ask) is gay and he said he's great

JUST DO IT. They are your family and if they didn’t love you unconditionally you would have seen something by now. And if they try and change you or shame you you take no shit. If they hit you you can call the police. Basically even if something goes wrong you will eventually be fine.

Just first ask them their opinion on Lgbtq than that should get you started
Just do it.
If they're homophobic, then they are just lesser mortals who cannot comprehend the greatness of the gay.
If they are allies, then great! That just means that they know you're gay and know it's ok
*inhales*; So I'm going camping with my family this Friday and I'm thinking of telling them I'm bi but idk if they're homophobic or not, and im planning on telling them during the camping trip (i know my non biological uncle is homophobic so I'm not telling him, obviously). My cousin already knows I'm bi but nobody else in my family does so I'm kinda nervous. Any ideas on how i can see if they're homophobic or not before I tell them, i could use the help
