Internalised inadequacy.
They're desperate to feel like they matter. Like they're worth something, when they have nothing significant to show for themselves...

And trans women gaining being seen as "ex-boys" who left the struggle of male inadequacy to enjoy the joys of femininity, reminds them of their jealousy of being unable to experience the same benefits as below-average men...
To them, doing this convinces them that they are "strong," "enduring" people, whilst dwelling at the rock-bottom of value... so they find 'other' groups which they can drag down with them to keep them company in their misery.
