Yes, sometimes it gets really confusing bc people have preference over labels
Like if ur bi but have a preference to woman it doesn’t make you a bi lesbian
Or if ur ace and lesbian ur either lesbian or homoromantic ace

Bi doesn’t mean a preference at all, although some do
There is a term called “Omnisexual” which is the equivalent of pansexual with a preference
There is not a bisexual equivalent of this
I ID as pan bc honestly, although in practice I'm more likely to be with a man, I just prefer the term, I don't really care that much about gender it's just people who are my 'type' are often men, if that makes sense

Bi cares to the point of having genders it doesn't like, sometimes it doesn't care among the genders it does like
This thing called omni (which I am) is pan with slight preferences
What's the difference between pan and bi? pan doesn't care about gender, whlie bi often has a preference. Bi can be very similar to pan, as it means you like two or more genders, not just limited to two (although that's a very controversial topic)
