Just comment on the original start of the thread and if you need to read it sort by oldest

However..why? It should just be infinite. Why do all of that BS to continue a discussion?

It’s pretty easy to do- takes like two seconds
Literally been doing it for years
Plus if the thread gets super long it’s easy to go back and find a specific spot because you can hide everything below the first orange and quickly skim the conversation
They would have to completely change how threads work to make them infinite and it would replace another feature we might actually like
