At 4:23 am, [REDACTED], the mechanism for the door to SCP-8362's containment area malfunctioned, causing it to stay open for an extended period of time. Fifty-two seconds after the malfunction occurred, SCP-8362 breached containment. This time, only killing a single maintenance worker who arrived on the scene early. This time, SCP-8362 quietly and discreetly made its way through Site 17 without disruption. SCP-8362 disappeared after five minutes of breaching containment, and wasn't located again for seventeen hours, until a Foundation employee in Site 19 in Michigan noticed it and called for the nearest Mobile Task Force. Seventy-four minutes later, at 10:43 the same day, SCP-8362 was recaptured and temporarily contained Site 19 before being relocated to its newly upgraded containment area in Site 17.
Post incident, SCP-8362 had three tracking devices located in its body for future tracking in the event of another breach.
