Dragon types resist water, therefor Blastoise would no longer do much damage to Charizard if it used a water type move. (If I’m correct, that is)

Same with Grass, Dragon resists Grass, making Venusaur even more useless against charizard

IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
DURING GENERATION I, DRAGON TYPES ONLY HAD ONE SPECIAL MOVE, AND THAT IS DRAGON RAGE, AND DESPITE IT HAVING 100% ACCURACY, IT WASN'T THAT MUCH POWERFUL BECAUSE THERE WERE BETTER MOVES OUT THERE. AFTER THAT, DRAGON TYPES GOT BETTER MOVES, AND IN GEN 5, DRAGON BECAME THE MOST OP TYPE, UNTIL FAIRY TYPES BEAT IT WITH NEW MOVES IN GEN 6. AND SINCE CHARIZARD WAS INTRODUCED IN GENERATION I, IT WOULD BE PRETTY WEAK IF IT WAS A DRAGON TYPE BECAUSE OF NO GOOD MOVES FOR DRAGON TYPES IN GENERATION I; I THINK I KNOW WHY CHARIZARD ISN'T A DRAGON TYPE
