Typical Dem B.S. Bill just gives $28 million to the FDA to do with as they please - no strings no monitoring, just money. Increase government employees and future costs. There is zero correlation to the shortage and the size of the FDA. Just B.S. for show.

28 million to the FDA. Gubmint again paying itself to fix a problem it created.

The FDA didn't create the problem; they rightfully shut down the Abbott due to contamination of their product.

And it's not the FDA's fault that Abbott was ever allowed to gain a 42% domestic market share for production of baby formula, nor that they chose to spend billions on stock buy-backs - rather than invest those funds into capital expenditures replacing faulty equipment. Nor are they responsible for the fact that Trump's NAFTA renegotiation to USMCA implemented trade barriers with Canada, restricting imports of baby formula and slapping a 17.5% tariff on such, plus tariff rate quotas.

This shortage is a direct result of short sighted policies implemented by both Abbott & Trump for protectionist & greed purposes. They were warned this could be a potential outcome if supply is halted for any reason but chose to ignore such.

I clearly stated there were 3 contributing factors that created this problem. Why do you feel compelled to passive-aggressively defend Trump, when undoubtly he too contributed to the crisis?

We already know that Trump is the source of all evil in your mind. It is just sweet to see how you weave it into every post.

Middle might help.

While I've never personally used that word to ever describe him, he does in fact have a long and well established reputation (from the 80s & 90s) as being a liar, cheat, conman, bully, master manipulator, etc, which was well documented in many news articles published back then.

In one of those articles, Trump's own lawyer was quoted as saying "Donald is a believer in the big-lie theory. If you say something again and again, people will believe you."

Oh look, here's that September 1990 Vanity Fair article in which he's quoted saying such...

Fast forward 32 years and he's still doing it with his BS claims of a stolen election. It's bad enough people are still suckered into believing him decades later due to not knowing his history but what's truly unforgiveable is that he tried to steal the election for himself due to egotistical need which ultimately led to an insurrection. That can NEVER be excused.

Haters gona hate.

I am neither a love nor a hater of Mr. Trump.

He was working hard for America and the Democrats couldn't find 5 billion for a wall to secure our southern border.

Funny how they have all these billions to give away now.

It must be because the economy is doing so well.
