And gay animals are essential to the survival of their species since they take care of abandoned/neglected young of the same species
For example, at the zoo with the gay penguins, a straight penguin couple had a kid, but they neglected it and didn’t feed it. So the gay penguins adopted and raised the baby penguin by themselves. if this had happened in the wild, and there were no gay penguins around, the baby likely would have died.

And almost all animals (excluding those who reproduce asexually and clownfish because when there are no clownfish of one sex in the area one of them will literally change their sex because clownfish can do that) have gay couples, I was just using penguins as an example

im not against gay animals, i am just not sure if i can really believe that gay animals are actually a thing, when they don't have a similar mindset of humans, where they have sexual preferences, just that they have a goal; to reproduce

Animals may not have the same kind of mindset as humans, but they can still have preferences, feelings, and thoughts. animals do think independently, even if their thought process isn’t as complicated as a human’s. So it’s completely possible
