*The current students of Akademi High gather in the gym, where Megami, the student council president, is discussing planned school events. At this time, Musume and Kashiko are second year students of Akademi High*
Musume, whispering ecstatically: Hey Kashiko! Are you thinking what I’m thinking?
Kashiko, also whispering ecstatically: I sure am! On the count of 3, we say it at the same time. 3, 2, 1-
Musume and Kashiko, harmoniously: The student council president looks like the One Winged Angel!
Kashiko: Ooh, yeah! We definitely have the spirit!
A week later
Musume: It’s only been a week since we had Megami as our student council president, and I’m already starting to hear rumors about her. One of the rumors I’ve heard is that her family has otherwise high expectations of her
Kashiko: Speaking of high expectations, do you remember that part from Final Fantasy VII where Sephiroth joined Shinra and rose in ranks until he was considered the most talented SOLDIER in Shinra?
Musume: Oh, that one. Yeah, I remember
Kashiko: Do you also remember the part where the more Sephiroth proved his exemplary skill as a SOLDIER, the more Shinra demanded out of him, causing him to consider quitting his role as a SOLDIER at some point? But then Sephiroth decided to get revenge on Shinra, but not necessarily because of the pressure Shinra would continue to put on him?
Musume: Yeah, I remember all that. Go on
Kashiko: So I was talking about how Shinra started to expect more out of Sephiroth the higher Sephiroth rose in SOLDIER ranks, and then eventually, he lashed out at Shinra for expecting too much for poor Sephiroth to handle, but that was mainly because I had a similar question to bring up about the student council president, considering that family’s expectations for her are also high. What if, just what if, Megami secretly feels the same way towards her family and we just aren’t seeing her true wrath yet? Because if I’m being fair, even I wouldn’t stand having unrealistically high expectations set for me
Musume: I mean, it doesn’t sound too out of the blue, but even the faculty doesn’t have a definitive answer on whether whatever you’re speculating is actually true or not. But I’m sure that it’s some good food for thought, so we can leave that thought at the back of our minds for right now
