I'm sorry you have to deal with this but seriously... boys can have long hair, girls can have short hair - even if they wouldn't approve of you being trans (which I'm guessing they don't know and you cut your hair to test the waters?) I know tons of women with short hair. It's just hair. I mean, it's about as permanent as getting some Sharpie on your fingers...

tell them its a new style you wanted to try out. and tell them you like it so you're gonna keep cutting it.
