I decided to make another one cause why not

Ananas (rainwing): Whatcha talkin' about?

Mirage: if you define really hot mud as being able to burn almost anything to ashes, including dragons, then yes.

Inferna: not how I would have said that.

Ananas: Alright

Mirage: so, I assume you’re from around here?

Ananas: mhmm. Where else?

Mirage: look, I’ve met an icewing from the Scorpion Den, anyone can grow up anywhere if that can happen.

Inferna: hold on, there was an icewing in the Scorpion den?

Mirage: moved to avoid a raid on their small village before the dragonet was born.

Ananas: Interesting

Mirage: very weird, I don’t even think she knows about the fact that Icewings and Nightwings are sworn enemies.

Inferna: you can’t be serious. This has to be one of your jokes.

Mirage: it’s not. We should probably move away from the cave.

Inferna: I agree.

Ananas: Huh?

Mirage: it’s not a good idea to be in this area right now.

Inferna: there is possibly a kidnapped rainwing we’re trying to figure out how to save and we can’t go with Stormbringer because we’ll easily get caught.

Ananas: What if i cover you?

Stormbringer: we should keep moving before more show up. I’m assuming they are part of a larger hunting party.

Inferna: I agree, it’s not safe here.

*you all continue moving towards the villages, the platforms are in sight now*

Ananas: We're near, look up

Mirage: I’ll carry her up..

*Stormbringer looks about ready to pass out*

Inferna: you sure you’re ok?

Stormbringer: I’m fine… just tired… *he’s covering as much of himself as he can with his wings, it looks like he’s trying to hide something* I’ll help Cascade and Mirage.

Ananas: I'll carry Stormbringer up, *look at stormbringer* like you don't look like you should be flying. Uh- Yello- Mirage! Yeah Mirage! you can carry Cascade yourself right?

Mirage: yep.

Inferna: I’ll catch anyone if they fall. I’ll also stand guard incase a Nightwing attacks us randomly.

Stormbringer: I can still fly. I’m not nearly as hurt as Cascade. *he flies surprisingly well up to the platform. Even tired and beaten up, it seems like he can outfly anyone in the forest.*

Inferna: I can’t tell if he’s being over dramatic or he’s hiding a serious injury. You never know with nightwings.

Mirage: hey, he looks like he gained energy after hearing that. *he chuckled*

*Stormbringer stays silent*

Inferna: give him a break, he did what we couldn’t do.

Ananas: Oh well
*ananas flies up and joins them*
Ananas: I'll bring you to the medicine hut

*he reaches the platform but his landing was rough, he tried to get up but could only manage to reach one claw forward before passing out completely, and that’s when you’ve noticed the burns running along his back and sides. They look pretty bad, he probably fought someone while saving Cascade.*

*Mirage lands just behind you holding Cascade*

Mirage: oh he definitely wasn’t faking this one Inferna.

Inferna: what?! *she was down below still but started flying up*

Mirage: you might want to come see this for yourself.

Ananas: hmm?

Mirage: hey Inferna, by any chance did you—

Inferna: no, how did we not notice these? And we let him carry Cascade on top of them.

Mirage: these look pretty serious. Where is the healers hut?

Ananas: Follow me
*Ananas takes off towards the hut*

?????????: oh thank the moons it’s a rainwing.

Inferna: someone who can actually help. If they are like what I’ve heard about Cascade.

?????: well we don’t want them to get caught now do we?

Inferna: really Mirage?

Mirage: I’m just saying, you want them to be like Cascade, minus the getting captured by Nightwings thing.

?????????: he has a point.

Ananas: Excuse me?
*His scales flashed orange (that's irritation if I recall correctly) before settling back to his usual yellow-gold*

Inferna: your the only one here who can camouflage is what I’m saying, Mirage here is just trying to be mean.

Mirage: I am not!

?????????: can we please stop fighting? My friend’s life is at stake here.

Mirage: have you tried finding a way in yourself?

?????????: the best I could get was being guarded by 2 nightwings while I went to go see if I could find a way to get her out, I did see her, though she looks worse than before.

Ananas: Ah. A spying mission?

Inferna: you’re going with them Stormbringer.

Stormbringer: I know, I just needed help.

Mirage: why did you come to us then? There is no way we’re getting onto that island unseen. Much less the fortress.

Stormbringer: I wasn’t really thinking… more like panicking. Thanks for the help.

Ananas: Wait a moment. Who said i was going?

Stormbringer: you don’t have to if you don’t want too. You know what, I’ll go in myself. *they run into the cafe*

Mirage: WAIT! YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE A-

Stormbringer: I’LL BE FINE, JUST LIKE YOH SAID EARLIER!

*a few moments later and he’s gone*

Inferna: why did he come get us then?

Mirage: obviously for moral support. We’ll be cheering from the sidelines for him.

Inferna: seriously Mirage.

Mirage: he probably just panicked like he said. He said himself he’s never really had to do something like this.

Inferna: if he gets caught, nothing will happen to him since he’s a Nightwing right?

Mirage: did you miss the part where he explained one punishment is being thrown into a volcano or am I just crazy?

Inferna: WHAT?!

Ananas: ...I was gonna say that now I'm saying I'll go but okayyy? And "lava"? what's that again?

Inferna: you know what, maybe it’s good that you didn’t go with him after all.

Mirage: chill out Inferna, not everyone has been in the military like you.

Inferna: THATS JUST BASIC KNOWLEDGE YOU—

Mirage: *laughing* seriously chill out, I know. Lava is uh… how do I explain this in simple terms?

Inferna: Ok… lava is basically a combination of melted rock and metal, it’s extremely hot. It’s like me using my fire on someone but a hundred times worse.

Mirage: I think it’s infinitely worse since you’ll likely die if you are thrown into it.

Inferno: THREE MOONS MIRAGE, I AM THIS CLOSE TO SETTING YOUR TAIL ON FIRE.

Ananas: So really hot mud?

*Cascade wakes up but she doesn’t actually sound like she’s awake…*

Cascade: how many dragons… besides us… are nearby? Can’t you sense them? *it was more of a whisper so only Stormbringer heard*

Stormbringer: I really didn’t want to explain how I knew considering if they knew how I knew what dragons were there, it would make me infinitely more valuable to them. *also in a whisper*

Mirage: still nothing Stormbringer?

Stormbringer: *sighs* {thinking: I’m gonna have to tell them one way or another… this is it, time to reveal my powers to everyone else} *he sends out a message telepathically to the group: “do not stray from the path, there are 2 nightwings tracking us, one on Mirage’s left, the other on the right towards Inferna. We need a blow dart gun, whatever you do, do not panic or show any indication I had just spoken to you through my mind.”*

*Mirage and Inferna look at each other and then nod*

Mirage: so Ananas, are the healers here any good?

*Ananas is suprised by Stormbringer's abilities*
Ananas: Huh- how-? Oh sorry, yes the healers here are excellent

*Stormbringer looked like his strength was starting to fail him but he pushed on, he wasn’t nearly as injured as Cascade and he kept reminding himself of that*

Mirage: you alright there Stormbringer?

Stormbringer: I’m fine. Keep moving. *He sounds irritated*

Inferna: now that’s the sentiment I expected from a Nightwing.

Mirage: I just wanted to help.

Inferna: I think he knows that. Just keep moving like he said.

*Ananas pauses for a bit, to check he's still got some darts for his blowdart gun, taking note of Stormbringers request*

Mirage: hey Stormbringer? By any chance you have Cascade’s blowdart gun with you? I want to see how it looks.

*Stormbringer understood what he was trying to say*

Stormbringer: I’m carrying a dragon right now so I can’t really reach it, it should be hanging in a pouch on my right side, there should be darts in there as well.

Inferna: *playing along with them* Mirage, now it’s not the time..

*Mirage got the blowdart gun out of the pouch Stormbringer said it was in and put it in another pouch he was carrying, he also grabbed some darts and preemptively loaded the gun, just in case.*

*Ananas notices and loads up his own too*
Ananas: Our blowdart guns are rather interesting don't you agree?

Mirage: certainly not something I’m used too.

Stormbringer: INFERNA FLY UP!

Inferna: what?!

Stormbringer: NOW!

*it was too late, Inferna was tackled by a Nightwing at least twice her size, luckily for her, her firescales saved her, it gave Mirage time to get the blowdart gun out and shoot a dart right into the neck of the stunned Nightwing, it was fast asleep in seconds, unfortunately, it was right on top of Inferna. Mirage helped her get out from under the dragon*

Stormbringer: Ananas, your left!

*Ananas swivels to the left and shoots a dart blindly, not really knowing what to shoot at*

*You got lucky, you hit the nightwing’s right forearm just before they tried to knock you out as well.*

Mirage: anyone else?

Stormbringer: I think we’re good.

Ananas: Good, i only got a lucky shot there

Mirage: figured… anyways, you’re right, I should get some rest. I’m gonna need it if I have to fight through half of the Nightwing tribe.

*Ananas nods*
Ananas: Shall we go back then?

Mirage: I guess. *he sounds sad now, but travels back to the village with you, he’s concerned for the safety of Stormbringer*

End: you saved Cascade but Stormbringer was dragged back to the volcano fortress by another Nightwing. Even when faced with death, he still wouldn’t reveal that he could read minds, or see the future. The Nightwing kept him alive only because they believed he could read minds, and they were right. His mother was furious, after all that time protecting him from the island, she found that she was unsuccessful at keeping him away from it. With the secret of her dragonet out, all she could hope for was that they never found out he was a hybrid. It wasn’t very noticeable that he was, but he still would be in a much more dangerous situation if anyone knew about it. It’s not like Stormbringer’s mother could just rescue him either, she’d have to act like she didn’t know anything, and she could not do that to him. Stormbringer was now in the talons of the nightwings and the volcano. He was subjected to the torture the rainwings were given, and all he could do was wait. He was closely guarded at all times, even more than Cascade was. Stormbringer knew the risks and took them anyway, knowing that this was likely how it would end up.

True ending: Stormbringer was captured after rescuing Cascade while he was passed out on the village platform. He was dragged back to the fortress on the volcano and was subjected to the same punishment as any captured rainwing. His mother was nowhere to be seen, it was like she disappeared off the face of the earth, or worse, into the volcano. He knew what his punishment would be if he was caught. The only reason he was kept alive was because the Nightwing who captured him figured he could read minds and possibly predict the future. Stormbringer adamantly denied this, even when faced with being thrown into the volcano, but her suspicions were correct. Stormbringer did have mind reading and foresight abilities. He never once revealed them while on the island. When Cascade woke up after 3 days, she found herself in the healer’s hut with Inferna, she was surprised to find Mirage standing over them protectively, but not with Stormbringer. When Mirage told Cascade what happened, she was angry, she swore she would get Stormbringer back, even if she had to destroy the fortress itself.

(Yeah, I honestly think the only OCs I have that actually have more legitimate lore than this Stardust, Sky, and Ember, with one of the few storylines I’ve made being Galactic Labs and The Nuclear Wasteland (left unfinished until I can finish Stardust’s Journey). The only other storyline I have is Stardust’s Journey and that’s strictly non-role play at the moment, though some role plays here with OCs in the story fill time gaps.)

(Yeah, I think it’s funny how sometimes I go over the top with background and lore for some OCs and other times it’s literally just “hey, these two can manipulate time and travel to different dimensions with no consequences” or “yeah, this one uses space as a weapon, all they need to do is make a slashing motion with their claw and boom, there are now deep cuts in the concrete wall 20 feet in front of them.”)

Mirage: Alright. *he takes off after you*

*they arrive at the healer's hut*

Mirage: so this is it…. can they treat a possible infection?

Ananas: Of course they can!

Mirage: where do you want me to set Cascade?

Ananas: on the bed inside

Mirage: got it. *Mirage goes inside and gently sets Cascade on the bed* I better go get Stormbringer, wait I should have had Inferna carry Cascade since she doesn’t way that much considering she hadn’t been eating all the time, on the island she got only one meal a week from what I’ve been told, and it wasn’t a good one. I could have carried Stormbringer! Oh moons… that was stupid of me, normally I think of these things. We should go back and grab Stormbringer incase he missed a Nightwing.

Ananas: Alright. The healers can take care of her right?
*Ananas sends a glance at the healers that are watching them curiously*

Mirage: I thought you said they could treat an infection? If they can’t treat that, could they treat severe burns? I don’t know how you guys operate here and how good your healers are.

Ananas: *sighs* I mean they'll start treating her instead of just gossiping. they sometimes do that

Inferna: I’m not sure that would work. We would need to—

Stormbringer: I’m back.

*he and a rainwing stepped out, the rainwing looked sad and angry, their camouflage wasn’t working as well as it should have but it passed enough to get her through the cave, Stormbringer looked injured.*

Ananas: Hold that thought. You guys should return with me to the village to get patched up and *he looks at the other rainwing* You gotta get some sun time

??????: I get kidnapped… for who know’s how long… and the best thing you guys can tell me is to get more Sun Time… *coughing* when there is no Sun to be found,… no matter if I’m locked underground… *coughing* or out in ash-filled sands? *she sounds over tired too, she looks underfed, she could fall asleep any minute*

Stormbringer: let’s just focus on getting her back to the village… we can worry about injuries later.

Ananas: My point being that when you get back to the village you can have some. DO you know the way to the village?

Stormbringer and Cascade at the same time: we do.

Inferna: I don’t,

Mirage: it’s my first time here too, so no.

Stormbringer: follow me, but not to far behind me, I’m not sure how long I can keep Cascade here supported by myself…

Cascade: *angry tone but it’s getting softer* I don’t need… *cough* your support… *cough cough* I can fly on my own.

Stormbringer: you are not in a good condition to fly, you need someone near you incase you fall!

*Ananas walks over to Stormbringer and Cascade, helping support them*
Ananas: Come with me then

Cascade: *more coughing* I can fly.

*she tries to fly up into the air but her wings just don’t want to work anymore, she feels terrible, Stormbringer had to catch her and have Mirage help him get Cascade down safely*

Inferna: rainwing, let us help you.

Cascade: I’m fine.

Mirage: you’re clearly not well, you might have some disease.

Stormbringer: I don’t think she does, volcanic ash can really mess up you’re lungs.

Inferna: that still doesn’t explain the coughing fit. You think those other nightwings gave her something?

Stormbringer: Cascade we’re you bit by something?

Cascade: tried to escape a few times and got hit by a Nightwing.

Stormbringer: that might explain it actually, she is ill.

Ananas: That settles it. Uh- Black dragon and Yellow one (Mirage is the sandwing i presume from the names), let me help support Cascade, can you guys follow behind us to the village?

(Mirage is the sandwing)

Mirage: Yep. Stormbringer’s here to help me as well.

Stormbringer: *he also wants to help support Cascade… but he doesn’t know how much you trust him given that his tribe just kidnapped a rainwing* I can take his place actually.

Inferna: the Nightwing knows his way around as well, he said he grew up here.

Ananas: yes, but aren't you injured too?

Mirage: let’s go get Stormbringer before—

*you heard a shout from outside, it sounded like Inferna crying out in pain, was she already fighting with someone?*

Mirage: I better get out there. *he rushes out of the hut*

*Ananas grabs his blowdart gun and loads it up, after that following Mirage*

*you fly to Inferna, you find her knocked out and bleeding in several places, she was covered in scratches, looks like she put up quite a fight. Stormbringer however was gone.

Ananas: oh no...

Mirage: *in a panicked state* was this Stormbringer or someone else? *he looks at the forest floor* ok.. this is the work of another dragon. I see a new path that indicates someone was dragged. And there is a blood trail, which means whoever did this is injured now, and badly. Tell some rainwings to get Inferna to the healers hut, I don’t have time to stand around. *He flies down to follow the trail of blood*

Ananas: Alright
*To other rainwings*
Ananas: Can someone help me? She may die
*His scales are rippling lime, for fear. Ananas may not have been with them for a long time, but he's gotten attached*

*Some other rainwings fly down to see what’s going on (not designated with names as they will not be used that much other than carrying Inferna*

RW (rainwing) 1: what’s going on?

RW 2: huh.. I guess that’s where the screaming came from… did you do this?

*they both pick up Inferna*

Ananas: In order, I'm not sure, nope. Thanks for helping out. need to make sure people don't get lost in the forest
*He calms himself down to get his scales back to his favourite yellow-gold*
Ananas: Gotta go

*Mirage was flying through the forest following the trail as fast as he could, he made it to the cave fairly quickly, to which he saw Stormbringer still unconscious being dragged into the cave by another Nightwing, who’s wing was clearly broken, she rushed through the cave and out of Mirage’s talons. It was now almost impossible to retrieve Stormbringer, and Mirage went into the cave after them despite his instincts telling him not to. He would fight whoever this Nightwing was to get him back. Fortunately, he emerged victorious with the Nightwing running away, however, the guards on the other side of the cave pulled Stormbringer through before Mirage could get to him. He went on to try to grab him from the guards, he even pulled out his dagger which he had hoped he would never use, unfortunately for him, there were 10 guards at the entrance, which meant they were alerted to Stormbringer’s rescue. Mirage knew he couldn’t fight all of them, so he stepped back and left the volcanic island admitting defeat. When you got there, he was staring at the ground covering his face. Several of the nearby trees had been slashed in anger.*

Ananas: I- What happened?

Stormbringer: not injured enough that I can’t fly, I ended up having to outfly another Nightwing trying to get Cascade out of there. Cascade is in a much more critical condition than I am.

Mirage: let’s just hurry ok?

Inferna: we’re only wasting time let’s go!

*ananas nods and begins moving towards the rainwing village*

*Stormbringer and Mirage follow, both supporting Cascade, Inferna stays in the back incase any nightwings emerge from the tunnel to chase after the rainwing dragonet*

*It's silent as the group walks*

*you seem to have no problems for the first 10 minutes, but Stormbringer and Mirage feel like they’re being watched*

Mirage: eh.. it’s too quiet out there.

Inferna: what do you mean?

Mirage: we’re in a rainforest, many animals inhabit this place besides rainwings. It’s possible their scared because we’re dragons and all that, but I still think it’s too quiet.

Ananas: ...Huh. Didn't realize that

Inferna: you’re too used to the Scorpion Den Sandwing. But I can’t help but feel we’re being watched by unfriendly eyes.

Mirage: not saying my experience there was great… but I am used to there being a lot more noise than just us talking, anyone out here can hear us.

*Cascade fell asleep, Mirage had to carry her considering he was the strongest, Stormbringer was helping him*

Stormbringer: somethings out there.

Inferna: what do you mean?

Stormbringer: everyone continue on as silently as possible.

Inferna: what?

*Ananas simply nods*

*You continue on, you hear the occasional bird call out but nothing more. Mirage is starting to get very concerned, Stormbringer takes Cascade from him incase they have to fight. Inferna is still in the back, she’s already ready to fight, if you look back, you might see some smoke rising off her scales but nothing too much*

*Ananas dismisses this, with the rainwing idea of "there's barely any danger here"*

Mirage: the Nightwings got him. I’m not sure what they’ll do to him… *he sounds angry with himself* I have to go in… but I can’t fight the entire island myself. I fought the original kidnapper and won but they had gotten Stormbringer to the nightwings guarding the tunnel at the other side, when I broke through, Stormbringer was surrounded by at least 10 nightwings… if they were flying I would have gotten him. A failure because of my own stupidity.

Ananas: Excuse me, your stupidity? I'll remind you that we were busy helping cascade, and your red friend..Inferna right? anyways inferna was hurt, so they got a head start compared to us. If anything it was always unfair

Mirage: what I should have done was have Inferna carry Cascade, she was much lighter than she should have been considering she wasn’t eating while she was a prisoner. I could have carried Stormbringer. This was basically a prisoner exchange because I thought about it too late. I’m not sure if we’re gonna get an opportunity to save Stormbringer either. And don’t say anything about it being unfair. I came from a much worse place than this, I was less careful.

*Ananas doesn't know how to respond*

Mirage: I’ll need to wait for Inferna to plan our next move.

Ananas: Get some rest then. you look like you need it

*he took out his dagger again*

Mirage: maybe I should… this may sound random, but have you ever found an animus touched object that you wondered who it belonged too?

Ananas: What's an animus?

Mirage: a dragon who can use magic to enchant other things.

Ananas: Nope!
