generally, ingredient is a term used for cooking. Even if you look up the definition it is the first way the word is defined. Here in America, the items mentioned would be listed as "materials" , it is odd to have them listed as ingredients .
Some common synonyms of ingredient are component, constituent, and element. While all these words mean "one of the parts of a compound or complex whole," ingredient applies to any of the substances which when combined form a particular mixture.
Look it up.
It may be odd for Americans as the english is dumbed down, but it is not at all strange in GB or EU

that is why I mentioned that In America it is odd to see "ingredients" used to describe the elements in the material.
Use a crafting game as an example. Recipes for buildings in satisfactory for example are refered to as ingredients.

even in game games here the translation are different, for example , to build a house in a game, you would need these "materials" = bricks, mortar , and wood. These would be listed as materials not ingredients.
So you are basically confirming what I said about it being only weird in specific places (aka America). Which means that noone should berrate a tag just cause it is listing something which is a norm for EU.
I mean we have standardised everything while US goes like "the hole is wide like 7 washing machines".

lol yea, I live here in America and I see the dumbing down of our society all the time. Kids can't even read analog clocks here anymore, or write in cursive. It is only going to get worse as time goes on.
Wait what? I have a few US friends and I know about some things you said (Like cursive) But I didn't hear about clocks... I mean don't ppl use that daily???

no, they have been phased out and replaced with digital clocks. it is sad, but this new generation of kids can't read analog clocks.
