All you need to know of their war crimes and other war crimes way before the war with Russia. Its not like them performing war crimes ever went away even with a war now going on. Oh and who were those prior war crimes against? The defectors/resistance or fellow Ukraine citizens that wanted to branch away from the corruption of their government. Though here the US is funneling money to them.
People think US does it out of helping. No. There is price to pay. Question is, what does Ukraine have to have America so invested in it? There are many other countries with wars going on and countries suffering by their own people. So what does Ukraine hold that has interest/concern for current US to interfere or run propaganda involving Russia and gaslight Russia as 'bad guys?'
