Like so?
Maintain 70-90% humidity by misting as needed every day. Substrate - use a mulch-type such as coconut fiber, dampened sphagnum moss or bark; avoid gravel and artificial turf (too harsh for skin). Temperature – should be 68°F at night; depending on species, 75-80°F or 85-88°F during the day.
Average Life Span: 8 to 10+ years with proper care, depending on species
Average Adult Size: 1.5 to 5 inches long, depending on species
Diet: insectivore

Don't roast or consume him, raise him and give him a wonderful childhood, let him grow into young adulthood, and give him the talk about little tadpoles and how they're made. Give him lessons on how to drive. Motivate him when he meets his lover. In adulthood visit his new home and spend quality time together. When he gets older and may need hospital bills or help with things at home, help him with it. When he passes away, take his dead corps then roast and consume it.
