******************Literally 2 Minutes Later…******************
“Whoa, he’s really good.” Johnny whispered, peeking around the corner.
“Yeah, almost as good as you are.” Nooshy nudged him a little.
It was a little strange, watching a stranger play the piano in the back on an alleyway, but they couldn’t help it. He was just that good.
It was a young fox, male. He had on a black hoodie with some jeans and a red bandana tied around his forehead. His ears were folded back with his eyes closed, singing his heart out. And while the song should’ve been over by now, he kept playing, keeping the beat and reaching that climax.
“Hey, what’re you doing back here?!” A door banged open, stopping the fox. His head snapped up, ears standing straight. Johnny and Nooshy took a small step back to avoid the risk of being spotted. A crocodile in a tanktop was coming down the small steps and walking up to the fox, who just sat there.
“You’re on in five minutes, Zach, c’mon, pull yourself together!”
“Y-yes sir, Rickie.” The fox said, leaning away from the croc.
Giving him one last look, Rickie turned around and walked back inside, grumbling to himself. The fox, who’s name turned out to be Zach, sighed to himself and leaned forward, rubbing his face.
“Whoa, that was a little rude, don’t you think?” Nooshy asked Johnny, a little too loudly. The Zach’s head whipped in Johnny’s direction.
“Who’s there?” He called out.
Johnny took a deep breath and stepped out. “Look mate, don’t freak out, alright?”
“Who- Who are you?” Zach stood up, taking a step back.
“Hey, buddy, we’re not going to hurt you, ok?” Nooshy stepped out as well. “I’m Nooshy, and this is my friend, Johnny.”
Zach stayed where he was, but his ears and tail lowered a bit. “Uh, nice to meet you, I guess?” He looked around a bit, as if he was expecting another person to step out. “You’re not going to rob me, are you?
“What? No no no no no,” Johnny reassured him. “We heard you playing back here and decided to check it out.”
Zach widened his eyes. “You… heard me playing?”
“Yeah, and I’ve gotta say, mate, you’re really good.” Johnny added, Nooshy nodding in agreement.
“I- Uh, thanks?” Zach stood straighter, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Hey, I work for this guy, Buster Moon-”
“Wait, I’m going to stop you right there.” Zach held up his hands. “You work at the Blue Moon?”
Johnny nodded. “Nooshy too.”
“Yeah, but I usually stay backstage. Not really a singer.” Nooshy crossed her arms, leaning to the side a bit.
That's it so far.
