In 1986 after inherenting her husband Ray's fortune, SD Padres owner & McDonald's CEO Joan Kroc banned beer in The Padres' locker room. In response, star pitcher 'Goose' Gossage accused Joan of 'poisoning the world with her cheeseburgers'. Shortly thereafter, Goose & his 102 mph fastball were traded.
