Yep, another WoF roleplay

Ananas (another rainwing): *sitting on a branch nearby camouflaged* What happened?

???: oh nothing, just being kidnapped.

??????: CASCADE?! Where are you? Are you ok? *that must have been the rainwing’s name*

Cascade: HIDE! *she camouflaged and flew into another branch, moments later, to Nightwing guards came out of the tunnel*

*Ananas is still on his branch camouflaged and watches the chaos below*

*the guards look around, they stay around the tunnel for around 5 minutes before they both walk back into the tunnel*

Cascade: looks like they gave up, or their going to form a search party.

*there was a Nightwing dragonet below you now*

?????: Cascade? Who was that and what happened?

Cascade: your tribe decided to kidnap me for reasons beyond my understanding right now. I’ll find out why later. *her scales turn red with anger*

Ananas: Well? May i have a more detailed explanation of what happened? And why there is a rightwing dragonet with you?

?????: I’ve been here ever since I hatched.

Cascade: his mother hid his egg here apparently, she doesn’t like it when he goes near the villages. *she’s calming down now*

?????: I’m really not sure why. You said other nightwings took you?

Cascade: yeah, I found your tribe by the way. If you take that tunnel, you’ll end up on some Volcanic island, looks like it’s active too. I had to put up with the smoke for three days.

?????: what did they want with you?

Cascade: I don’t know, but I intend to find out in a way that doesn’t get me kidnapped again.

Ananas: please tell me you aren't re-entering the cave

(My OC is a Rain/Leaf/Night tribrid, but the queens allowed her to stay.)

Cedar: What the…? What is going on here!? I came here to chill and a RainWing suddenly bursts out of a rock?
RainWing: There is a desert out there and it is the perfect place to have suntime.
Cedar:THERE IS A DESERT IN A ROCK!?!? Show.
RainWing: *Shows
Cedar: BRO. GOD, WTF IS HAPPENING?!?! AM I LOSING MY MIND!?!?! I need Acacia to calm me down.

*the time appears to be somewhere around midnight*

*the rainwing that left the cave was panicking*

????: don’t go, they’ll get you! That’s the wrong cave!

Aureus (rain wing): * is flying but camouflaged* what all is happening?

Cascade: we can at least try.

Aureus: I mean mangrove cares about orchid

Cascade: …. That’s right, she went missing before I was kidnapped… I didn’t see her though. I was mainly focused on escaping. And not being thrown into a volcano.

?????: the more you talk, the more you make me want to actually do this just to ruin whatever plan they have

Aureus: Well the queens don’t care if anyone goes missing they just tend to forget like with kinkajou which her teacher says it is because kinkajou wanted her to look bad

Cascade: I didn’t see her either (wait, wasn’t that 12 weeks before Glory got there? This was dated at almost a year before the war was over).

Cascade: so, are we sending my friend here?

Aureus: it is up to them now isn’t it

Cascade: only if you want them to go.

Cascade: heads up if you do btw. *she whispers something to him, you caught something about mind reading*

Aureus: *is confused but hides it*

?????: nice meeting you Aureus. *he breaks off, Cascade heads to the village*

Aureus: that dragonet is nice *glides to the village*

Cascade: he is.

Aureus: aight so not many remember the kidnappings

Cascade: apparently not.

Aureus: let’s go into the village now

*You and Cascade glide to the village, it’s now almost dawn*

Aureus: that was an eventful night

Cascade: You don’t say. *laughing*

Aureus: *laughs along*

?????: that’s a fair point.

Aureus: anyways should we hide since there is gonna be a shearch party or should I turn my scales into the color of a nightwing?

?????: I know I should hide. You might be able to trick them.

Aureus: alright *changes scales to look like a nightwing* does this look alright?

?????: I haven’t seen to may nightwings, but I think your doing a good job.

Aureus: ok hopefully I won’t get attacked by cascade

*the dragonet herd something inside the cave, he hid*

Aureus: *sits down in front of the cave*

*just like you said, a search party had been formed, six Nightwings (NW) have emerged from the cave, they look around the area before they talk to you*

NW 1: have you seen a rainwing around here?

Aureus: no I haven’t I’ve been here for awhile checking the area

???: oh nothing, just being kidnapped.

??????: CASCADE?! Where are you? Are you ok? *that must have been the rainwing’s name*

Cascade: HIDE! *she camouflaged and ducked behind some bushes, moments later, to Nightwing guards came out of the tunnel*

Aureus: *clings to a tree still camouflaged*

*the nightwings looked around the area, one almost caught Cascade but she moved out of the way just in time*

Guard 1: she’s not here.

Guard 2: back to the island, I’m not doing his without a search party. *they growl in frustration*

*you hear them talk about how they can’t believe they let a rainwing get away as they walk back through the tunnel, once you can’t hear them anymore, Cascade walks out, her scales quickly change from her camouflage to white and red*

Cascade: that was way too close.

*A Nightwing dragonet has hidden himself a little further in the forest behind some trees, they ran up to Cascade*

?????: where were you?!

Cascade: being held as a prisoner on some volcanic island.

Aureus: who is that *goes to normal color*

Cascade: a friend of mine that somehow has never seen his home.

?????: hey, I grew up here.

Cascade: I really don’t think it’s safe near this cave, let’s get closer to the village.

Aureus: Agreed

?????: you guys mind if I come with you? I’d rather be safe and have my mother be angry with me later than get kidnapped by my own tribe.

Cascade: I trust him, he’s already seen the village anyways.

Aureus: ok…

Cascade: alright, hope your ready for some flying.

?????: I can fly through the forest, I’ve done it plenty of times.

Cascade: I know. Come on, let’s go before those other nightwings come back. *they lift off into the air*

Aureus: *jumps from tree branch to branch till close to village*

NW 2: really? Then he’s coming with me. I want to hear about his experience.

?????: *sending a message via his thoughts again: “nice going, but thanks for the setup”* I’m needed here… don’t you need to catch that rainwing?

NW 2: Then you’ll be closely watched and guarded at all times until you return.

NW 3: I volunteer

NW 2: you two go with them.

Aureus: look why can’t me and the dragonet be alone will finding the rain wing?

NW 2: because you do not know the value of a dragonet, especially this one, you are a Nightwing yourself, aren’t you? I should expect you to know the value of him.

NW3: we can’t let dragonets be killed right now. We’re not hatching a lot of dragonets and many of those we do get barely survive.

Aureus: I can keep a close eye on him I shall not let him get hurt I swear

NW 1: too risky, if you do not report back we will gather a larger force to search for you. You know what, we’ve run out of time, it’s almost day.

NW 3: I’ll go with them.

NW 2: no, go get the wounded. We’ll find another rainwing, one that won’t fight back.

*the Nightwing dragonet disappeared, they didn’t notice*

Aureus: remind me again why do we need the rain wings?

NW 2: why are acting suspiciously not like a Nightwing? Who are you? Every Nightwing knows why we need at least one rainwing.

Aureus: I said can y’all remind me I have a hard time remembering things

NW 2: …

NW 1: we need them so we can learn to fight against them more effectively. We need new territory and fast, and our ultimate goal is to secure this land as ours.

NW 2: they’re a rainwing numskull.

NW 1: I’m sure they are not.

NW 3: *moving to block an escape just incase* They don’t look like a rainwing to me.

Aureus: I ain’t a rainwing I swear

Cascade: I’m so looking forward to Sun Time. I don’t care what branch I get I just need to rest.

Aureus: I am so tired of sun time

Cascade: normally I am too. Being stuck in a dungeon next to a volcano with ash in the sky really changes things. Ah… I lost all of the food I got too.

Aureus: well when it is sun time I am staying on the grass

Cascade: I would join you normally, but again, I was stuck in a dungeon.

Aureus: I know

*Cascade is now gliding half a sleep, she barely made it to one of the platforms before crashing*

Aureus: *glides toward the ground and falls asleep*

*Cascade fell asleep on the platform, a few rainwings woke up after they heard her crash but then quickly fell asleep*

*a few of the animals stir when aureus landed in the grass *

Cascade: that one was very sure you were a rainwing.

?????: You were watching?

Cascade: no, I heard him yelling.

Aureus: yes yes he was now they are gonna make armor to keep our venom from hitting them

Cascade: they can try, but first they’ll need to make can’t melt metal, which means they’ll have to kidnap more of us first.

?????: and that helps us how?

Cascade: even if they somehow made armor that makes it so we cannot use venom, how are they going to see? Or breath? Full body armor would weigh them down too, they wouldn’t be able to do much. You saw how great their pain was even if only a little venom hits them.

Aureus: yea can I go normal again this is starting to hurt

Cascade: by all means, also, let’s get out of here.

Aureus: *changes scales normal and starts to climb a tree*

*Cascade glides from tree branch to tree branch and the Nightwing follows, this time also gliding between tree branchs*

Aureus: *jumps from branch to branch*

Cascade: when does your mother come to check in on you?

?????: usually around sunrise or noon.

Aureus: you might wanna go than

*Cascade and the Nightwing glide down*

Aureus: ow I should have seen that

Cascade: are you ok?

Aureus: yea I’m fine

*the Nightwing helps you up if you didn’t get up already*

Cascade: so you really want to know what happened?

Aureus: *accepts the help and stands up* yes I sorta do

Cascade: I was kidnapped by the nightwings and forced to stay at that fortress. I escaped tonight, so I’ve been there for a few days.

???: I’m glad you’re safe now, but what did it look like over there.

Cascade: very gloomy, lays of smoke and ash, they held me by some lava flow or something. Wasn’t great, oh, and their fortress was partially built along side the volcano, partially built inside.

Aureus: now I’m glad you survived the place

Cascade: you weren’t glad before? *she gave a little chuckle*

?????: did they do anything to you?

Cascade: they were testing how well my camouflage was, I think they were trying to figure out a way to spot us more easily if are scales were camouflaged, so I pretended not to be very good at it.

Aureus: I was just now I am even more glad

NW 2: they are!

NW 1: go back to the island, I’m not dealing with this right now

NW 3: I’ll get the wounded.

NW 1: you stay on guard. *talking to Aureus*

Aureus: ok

*two nightwings go to collect the wounded nightwings, the other one goes back to the island*

Aureus: *stays put to keep up the act*

*the other nightwings come back, one is limping, they are severely burned, the other wounded Nightwing isn’t burned as bad, but several holes have been burned through their wing, they’ll have trouble flying but they’ll still be able to fly, their tail also seems to be burned*

Aureus: wow rainwing venom is really dangerous

NW 4: no really? I never noticed. Ow…

NW 3: we’ll need armor to combat the venom.

NW 6: I’m sure someone can make it happen.

*they walk through the cave*

Aureus: *stays put*

?????: are you done? This is your chance, they’ll blame it on Cascade.

Cascade: he’s right. *she pounces on you playfully, she must have climbed up to the top of the cave*

Aureus: you ok *sighs* I thought that they’d never leave me alone

Cascade: are you ready?

?????: I’ve just realized something… they’ll know I wasn’t on the island, none of them will recognize me

Cascade: I haven’t thought of that.

Aureus: therefore we can’t do that plan

Cascade: I guess I’ll watch the island.

Aureus: ok…

*Cascade flies back to the cave along with the nightwing*

Aureus: *follows*

Cascade: Before I go back that island again I’m going to grab some fruit or something.

?????: that’s probably a good idea.

Cascade: I haven’t eaten in days.

Aureus: yea you need to eat

*Cascade leaves again to go pick some fruit, she’ll come back later*

?????: I wonder what it’s like on the island. It can’t be as bad as she says right?

Aureus: I believe her cause those night wings when they march through don’t sound to good

NW 1: split up, stay in groups of two.

NW 2: yes sir.

*the other nightwings leave*

Aureus: I don’t know what to do now

NW 1: either help us search or report back to the island!

NW 2: … *trying to determine if you are a rainwing*

Aureus: yes sir *helps them search*

*they actually stay back at the cave incase Cascade comes back, the dragonet joins you*

?????: what if we don’t find Cascade in time?

Aureus: i don’t know

*You search for an hour, no sign of Cascade*

Aureus: where is cascade?

?????: I hope Cascade did not go back to the tunnel. We better get back there. *you take an hour long walk back to the tunnel*

Aureus: *changes to normal color* Cascade?

Ending: Cascade was able to return, she did tell someone about how she was kidnapped but no one believed her. She lived peacefully until the dragonets came, she did go looking for the other rainwings but didn’t want to get caught again.

True ending: Cascade told someone about how she was kidnapped, however no one believed her, she was caught twice, once she evaded capture, the other she was sent back to the volcano. She escaped again with some help.

(So I got a neutral ending?)

(The true ending was going to be neutral)

Cascade: I wonder if they know about our venom.

?????: it’s a good secret weapon to have, so maybe don’t go telling other tribes about it until after the war.

Cascade: I’m not telling anyone, period.

?????: well you told-

Cascade: besides you.

Aureus: we absolutely need to keep the venom a secret or else they will try and figure out how to use it to destroy us

Cascade: we should probably warn someone before we’re caught again. And we should probably have someone there giving us more info on the fortress. *she looked at the nightwing*

?????: oh no… not me, I’m not going.

Aureus: I can look like a night wing I’ve seen so many so I know what they look like

Cascade: it would look less suspicious if we were sending a real Nightwing, but then again, my friend here has never been there ever. So he might accidentally get himself caught. We might as well be full on camouflaged and not go in there looking like a Nightwing.

Aureus: if that plan don’t work than can we try the nightwing plan?

?????: I don’t know what I’m walking into! I could easily be thrown into a cell like Cascade was!

Cascade: they’ll trust you, you’re a Nightwing dragonet.

?????: I don’t like this plan. *he whispers something to Cascade that makes Cascade change her mind*

Cascade: fair point, maybe we could just patrol the cave entrance, not many dragons can come through it at a time so it would be a very easy defense point.

Aureus: ok should I go warn the rest of the tribe?

Cascade: that would be best, but given the current state their in, I’m not sure they’ll care that much.

Aureus: true

?????: change back, the other nightwings are still there.

*your lucky they didn’t hear you, they were still guarding the entrance, which means they haven’t found her either*

Aureus: *quickly changed back to a nightwing*

NW 1: did you find them?

?????: no.

NW 2: the other groups are running late. We only have a few hours left.

Aureus: should we wait for them?

NW 1: go back and s—

NW 3: SIR! *one of the nightwings came running back, they were coughing heavily*

NW: 2 what?

NW 3: we found her, she injured two of us pretty bad. She got away unfortunately.

Aureus: I’m gonna go find her

NW 3: not alone you aren’t.

NW 1: since your incompetent, I’ll go with them.

NW 3: You don’t understand! She has some sort of venom that can melt scales! That’s crazy!

?????: no kidding.

NW 2: quiet dragonet, what are you even doing here?

?????: nothing, I’m just searching the rainwing.

Aureus: why can’t I just go alone?

NW 3: you don’t understand, she’ll kill your first chance she gets. You’ll need to trap her.

?????: I’ll go with him.

*the dragonet sends you a message through his thought: “uh oh… quick, say something”*

Aureus: no the dragonet has more experience with the rain wings than we do so he should come with me

*Cascade also glides from branch to branch but the Nightwing shows off and flies the whole way while dodging branches and spider webs*

Aureus: the dragonet is pretty good at flying

Cascade: show off.

?????: *laughing* you’re even better than me if you managed to outmaneuver all of those nightwings.

Cascade: being able to change your scales helps. *she’s laughing too now, her scales show a hint of yellow but now they are mostly just a bright blue*

Aureus: true color changing scales can help you if you are on the run from people who will like to keep you hostage

?????: mind reading can help determine what their next move will be, if you are close enough to them that is.

Cascade: that was really random.

?????: I know.

Aureus: but can a rainwing read minds?

?????: I’m pretty sure we all know the answer to that question.

Aureus: exactly

Cascade: village should be up ahead. Would you like to land on the ground?

?????: that would be better considering I’m supposed to stay away from it.

Aureus: *hops down the tree and falls*
