You're conflating weight and mass.

100 pounts of something on the surface of Earth will weigh nothing in zero gravity, but will still retain it's mass.

Consider something like a brick.

On Earth it probably weighs around 15-20 lbs.
In space it weighs 0 lbs.
On the moon it would weigh around 3 lbs.

Mass is the amount of 'stuff' the brick is made of. (Atoms or whatever)

Weight changes depending on the gravity of where you are.
Mass always stays the same.

That's a pretty heavy brick.
And most bricks aren't heavy compared to that one 24-pack of water bottles that mom always makes their children carry home.
I would know, and so would a lot of people I know who currently have mild brain damage.
