*the project looks around, and the project's blank eyes flash a couple colors*

*the project looks down at it's hands*

Scarab: *she walks up to it* ...

*the figure looks at Scarab*

Scarab: *she raises her, uh, hand? And pats the project*

*the project's eyes flash blue for a short moment as he looks at Scarab's hand(?)*

Scarab: *smiles with her eyes*

*the project taps Lith once, confused*

Scarab: *sits next to Lith and the project*

*Lith is still asleep*

Scarab: Sorry, little guy, but we should wait until Lith wakes up...

*the project is actually about 2x as tall as Scarab*

*the project lights up the room, revealing that it's a bunch of vessel corpses*

*the project's eyes flash red for a moment*

*the figure picks up a specific vessel corpse and feels emotion for the first time*

Scarab: *she starts falling asleep*

*sits down against a wall and falls asleep*

Scarab: *starts waking up*

*the figure leaves to get something*

*the figure opens a large hole in the middle of the project, and attaches the core-like object to a bunch of wire-like objects*

Scarab: What the hell?

*the figure closes the project and steps back*

Scarab: *she jumps out of the cabinet and jumps onto the figure*

*the figure falls backwards*

Scarab: *she aims her nail at their neck* ...

*??? jumps off the ladder*

Scarab: *gently gets off*

*there's a dark hallway with a door at the end*

Scarab: *walks over and tries to open it*

*the door opens, but Scarab gets a splinter in the process*

Scarab: Ow... *pulls it out*

*the door leads into a room with some sort of large project*

Scarab: What the...?

*there's only one person in the room, and they're working on the project*

Scarab: ???
*grabs her nail, just in case*

*the figure carefully welds a metal plate onto the circular hole after fully inserting the object*

Scarab: *as she walks out, her nail scrapes on the wall*
(she has bad hearing, it was quiet, but noticable)

*the project is unconscious on the floor*

*??? goes down the ladder*

*the project seems to turn slightly*

*a Lightseed falls from the ceiling and lands on Lith*

*the Lightseed manages to fall into Lith's eye*

*Lith takes the Lightseed out of her eye and places it on the floor*

*Scarab notices another door on one of the walls*

*the door eventually breaks, revealing a room with no lights, and what seems like a pile of corpses near the center*

*the figure takes a scythe off of their back*

*there's a spherical object on a pedestal in the center of the final room*

Scarab: *picks it up and looks at it*

*the object disappears, and the project falls to the floor*

*the figure's scythe is covered in blood*

*the figure is staring down at the corpse, still infected*

Scarab: Aren't you gonna attack us...?

*the figure slowly turns towards Lith*

Scarab: *she runs in front of Lith*

*the figure swipes their scythe at Scarab*

*she gets hit, then swipes her nail at the figure two times*

*before Scarab gets hit, the project grabs the figure and throws them against a wall, seemingly not thinking about what they've just done*

Lith: "Still haven't found who killed my friends..."

Scarab: Y-yeah...

Lith: "But at least I know that one of them escaped..."

Scarab: Ah...

Lith: "That's a good thing."

Scarab: *nods* ...

Lith: "I don't know what else to say..."

Scarab: Me either...

*silence*

*sighs*

*the figure is scared*

Scarab: *she looks at the project*

*the project looks like some sort of robot*

Scarab: *aims her nail at the project*

*the project falls asleep*

*the Lightseed falls asleep on the project's head*

*Lith is only slightly infected*

Scarab: ... *out of fear, she runs out of the room and tries to escape*

*the doors are broken*

Scarab: *she starts hyperventilating*

*they're working on painting the project*

Scarab: *crouches down*

*they don't notice*

Scarab: *she waits for them to notice*

*they stop painting and grab a strange tool*

Scarab: *watches closely*

*they use it to insert something into the project without touching the object with their hands*

Scarab: Hmm?

*the object glows as they insert it into a circular hole in the project*

Scarab: *she turns to head out, but her nail hits the wall, she doesnt seem to notice*

*complete silence*

Scarab: *she leans against a wall, far away from the project and Lyth*

*the project and Lyth are both asleep*

???: "I was forced to watch my 3 friends die..."
