In Shanghai, China people were being forced to stay inside their homes. All day everyday. Not allowed to go out at all. It was mandatory,,, because Covid cases were getting so f**king bad you couldn't even step outside.

But.
When you're forced to stay in the same damn place ._. for that f**king long ._. by yourself ._. trapped, literally . That's solitary confinement. People need people. We need human interaction. This is stripping away their humanity.

There were probably certain times where they (middle class and rich people, of course) could get food, but I doubt it was enough. Big city. Lots of people. Corrupt governemnt. Not enough resourcs to go around. People had black market shit going on.
