Paying in for 57 plus years is a joke if the fund runs out. What use to be full benefit retirement at 62 is now 67. What a way to enslave the poor and middle class into lifetime of work.
It’s a Ponzi scheme. We are not paying into anything. Our money is used to give someone else a check that month. Then the government has the nerve to tell people it’s an investment. Yet people who never contributed can collect.
INSTEAD OF REFUSING TO ADDRESS SOCIAL SECURITY TRUST FUND RUNNING OUT; ONLY AWARD CITIZENS BORN IN AMERICA THE RIGHTS TO SOCIAL SECURITY. THIS WOULD SOLVE A LOT OF ISSUES WHEN IMMIGRANTS GAIN CITIZEN STATUS AND DRAW SOCIAL SECURITY INSTANTLY.
