I've been out of school for decades now, but when I was there a teacher tried this and some absolute madlad replied "Tell someone who cares" and just kept walking out of the class.

Teacher gave him detention and got the same response: "Tell someone who cares" and didn't go to detention.

Eventually parents were called in, and we found out the father asked the teacher: "Well, did you try telling someone who cares?"

Teacher never tried that crap ever again.
It was a glorious time to be alive.
